Dust and disruption
Continuous extraction into sealed units matters more in a commercial setting than a domestic one, because there is usually stock, equipment or seating that cannot be moved. We sheet and seal the working area and extract at the machine rather than relying on cleaning up afterwards.
Finishes for heavy traffic
Commercial finishes are not the same as domestic. For a hall or a bar floor we use a commercial-grade lacquer with a high abrasion rating — it takes longer to cure but survives foot traffic that would wear through a domestic oil in months. For sports floors the finish also has to meet slip-resistance requirements, which rules out most of the softer oils.
Scheduling
We work around closures rather than asking you to close. That means evenings, weekends, half-terms and holiday periods. Tell us your access window and we will tell you honestly whether the floor can be finished and cured within it — curing time is the constraint, not sanding time.
